*8' x 8' Welding Booth SuperSale (Single Tube Aluminum)

Now you can purchase a unique-style of welding booth from Carpa Supply that has multiple uses besides just welding applications.

Our welding booths are well structured commercial aluminum frames that make excellent welding booths for indoor or outdoor applications. The typical 8' x 8' to 20' x 20' sizes incorporate 1-3/4 inch diameter aluminum tubes (1/8 inch thick) that connect to 2 inch diameter aluminum fittings (also 1/8 inch thick). The legs are adjustable between 6-1/2 to 8 feet high so that the structure can be used at whichever height is the most convenient for your application. Assembly is a piece of cake since all of the pieces connect to each other by an easy-to-use push button pin system. No tools are required. Just simply press the pin down on the tubing with your thumb, and then insert the tubing into the hole on the relevant connecting fitting. An 8' x 8' to 16' x 16' can be typically assembled by one or two people in as little as 20 minutes. The 20' x 20' size can be set up in about 45 minutes between two or three people.

In addition, our welding booths also have the value-added feature of being designed so that they can be used as tent structures for equipment storage, grinding jobs, painting, shade structures, etc. Options are available to purchase your welding booths with your choice of fire retardant colored transparent welding curtains and/or vinyl tops.

The pricing above includes the anodized aluminum welding booth frame (as shown in the green sketch but with an 8' x 8' configuration) which comes with 1-3/4 inch O.D. aluminum tubing with 1/8 inch wall thickness, four aluminum adjustable legs (6-1/2 Ft. to 8 Ft. high as a standard, and all other required aluminum frame fittings (fittings are 2 inch O.D. aluminum with 1/8 inch wall thickness).

Also included in the above price is your choice of either one 50 foot roll of 72 inch wide (high) 14 ml. tinted welding screen vinyl fabric, or, four custom sized tinted welding screen curtains (8' long x 6' high) in whichever tint color you choose. Different colors are available depending on the "Arc Protection" desired (see the option called "Tinted Vinyl Fabric Color (14 ml.). You may refer below to the Arc Protection and other information provided by each color to select your tint color. The custom curtains are manufactured from the same material as the rolls (14 ml. tinted welding screen vinyl fabric) but contain grommets spaced at approximately 12 inches apart all around the perimeter of the vinyl screen for easy-hanging and placement capability on each side of the booth.

Please note that although clear transparent sidewall curtains are available upon request, they do not offer any U.V. light nor arc protection, and should, therefore, not be used for welding applications. A Clear transparent top, however, may be used for applications where people passing by the booth do not have a view of the inside of the booth from a higer level.

If selected in the option called, "Number of 50 Foot Rolls Required", you will receive one 50 foot roll of 72 inch wide (high) 14 ml. tinted welding screen vinyl fabric with your purchase. The vinyl fabric used on the rolls and curtains is fire resistant transparent welding screen fabric. The welding fabric is resistant to not only flames but also water, oil, and mildew. It is recommended that it be used vertically, only, at its full height of 72 inches. You also have the option to either not order any rolls by selecting "Not Required" in the roll selection option, or, to order one additional roll if desired for an additional charge.

If you select that no rolls are required, then you will need to choose one of the custom curtain size selections on the option called "Welding Curtain Custom Size for Booth". In this option you will have the choice of either selecting four of the 8' long x 6' high custom tinted welding screen curtains for each side of the booth at no additional cost to you, or, you can select four curtains of the same length but with different heights of 7 or 8 feet for an additional charge. Keep in mind that the height selection for the curtains will determine how close to the ground the curtain will be when hung from the sidebars around the perimeter of the booth using either tie-wraps, wire, or bungee-straps. So for example, selecting the 6 foot high curtains will mean that the curtains will end up being 1/2 a foot distance from the ground if the adjustable legs on the booth are set to their lowest height of 6-1/2 feet, or 2 feet away from the ground if the adjustable legs on the booth are set to their highest height setting of 8 feet. Selecting the 7 foot high curtains will mean that the curtains will end up dropping all the way down to ground level if the adjustable legs on the booth are set to a height of 7 feet, or, 1 foot away from the ground if the adjustable legs on the booth are set to their highest height setting of 8 feet. Selecting the 8 foot high curtains will also mean that the curtains will end up dropping all the way down to ground level when the adjustable legs on the booth are set to the maximum height of 8 feet; you will not be able to set the adjustable legs to 6-1/2, 7, or 7-1/2 feet if ordering the 8 foot high curtains. However, selecting the 8 foot high curtains and using them with the adjustable leg maximum of 8 feet high will offer you the maximum amount of head space and protection provided by our product.

If ordering the roll, brass heavy-duty grommets are placed only along one of the long edges of the roll spaced approximately 12 inches apart. This will allow the installer to easily cut the appropriate lengths that are required for the particular size welding booth ordered (example: cut approximately four 8 foot long sections for the 8 x 8 welding booth, or simply, cut the desired continuous length required to wrap around the sides of the booth to be protected, etc.). Once the vinyl sections are cut from the roll, the vinyl fabric sections can be easily connected to the 1-¾ inch aluminum sidebar tubes and legs of the welding booth entrance from any side of the booth by inserting tie-wraps, light-weight gauge wire, or short bungee straps (not supplied) through the grommets on the vinyl fabric. If the welding booth is set to a height between 7 and 8 feet using the adjustable legs (adjustable legs can be set at 6-½’, 7’, 7-½', and 8’ height) on the booth, then there will be approximately a 1 to 2 foot distance between the ground and the fabric. This 1 to 2 foot uncovered area below the fabric and the ground offers an ideal opening so that air circulation is increased inside the booth and accumulation of hazardous fumes are reduced.

If ordering individual welding curtains for each side of the tent, then no cutting is required. Just simply attach each of the four curtains to the aluminum sidebars of the booth by using tie-wraps, light-weight gauge wire, or short bungee-straps (not included) and inserting them through the curtain grommets that are spaced approximately 12 inches apart along the edges of all four sides of each curtain.

Welding curtains are mainly used to protect people in the vicinity of the work from harmful U.V. light produced by the weld which can cause arc-eye symptoms . OSHA regulations and other safety standards sometimes highly recommend some sort of transparency and visibility in the welding sidewall panels so that personnel working close to the weld area, or simply just passing-by, are made alert and aware of possible hazards. This is the reason why many welding sidewall panels are made of semi-transparent polyvinyl material. These transparent tinted sidewall panels (with the exception of clear panels) contain filters which block the harmful UV light.

As an additional option, either a clear/transparent custom vinyl top (flame retardant - see options), or a 70% shade Black-Mesh custom vinyl top (flame retardant - see options) may be added to the top of the booth for an additional charge. The clear/transparent top offers visibility of the worker from multiple angles and rain cover in applications that need to meet these requirements; it is not U.V. retardant, however, and passer-byers should not stare through this clear top while workers are welding. The 70% Black-Mesh custom vinyl top offers sufficient shade and fume venting for outdoor applications needing to meet this criteria.

Note: Other commercial-grade 18 Oz. U.V. blockout and flame retardant vinyl tops and fabric selections are available. Please call us for availability if you would like a different vinyl top other than Clear/Transparent or Black-Mesh.See below for available top colors.

Safety Precaution: If a solid vinyl top (not a mesh-fabric top) will be used on top of the welding booth, then it is recommended that a minimum of one to two sides of the booth should remain open without curtain panels to prevent the accumulation of hazardous fumes inside of the booth. As an alternative, if all four sides of the booth must be covered with sidewall panels, then we recommend to leave, at least, 1 to 2 feet of opening between the ground and the sidewall panel . The use of a Black-Mesh vinyl top, where applicable, will reduce, but not eliminate, the extent to which a user or worker inside of the booth needs to adhere to the above recommendations.
